Think about the universe at this second, time continues to flow towards the future, every atom in the universe is constantly changing, and every sub-atomic particle is changing its state. The cumulatively endlessly complex labyrinth of matter, energy, dark matter, and dark energy at point -t- in time is defined by the entire system’s information. Going back in time is easy, find out the exact place and configuration of each of those fundamental components of the universe mentioned above and apply changes to them so they match with how they were back in time. Simple, right? Not really, since it’s paradoxical and mathematically impossible as far as I can tell. To know the entire config params of the universe, you need a bigger universe than ours to contain that information. A sort of meta-universe. Sadly, travelling back in time to keep your parents from meeting each other isn’t going to be possible kids, I’m terribly sorry for the false hope I may have given earlier. The universe was created, and the evidence is this law, time progression. You can’t have a randomly created universe with a built-in function like ’entropy’ increase, and the impossibility of storing its own status config. Picture the universe as a giant computer, its contents forever changing and evolving, much like how our computers utilize semiconductors to selectively drive electrons one way or another. Dynamically, every point is enduring a progression towards the future, to reach a hypothetical endpoint. [TBC]
